Apartment and organization updates!

So our room is now finished.. the boys had to rehang the mirror since Stella decided to scale the top and it fell off. Luckily she didn't get hurt and it didn't break. So here is our room:
Oscar thought I was taking a picture of him...

I also did more organizing in the kitchen.. dork I know. Plus who really wants to see pictures?? Ehhh no one but I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments. The pantry is a work in progress but it looks way better than before.
I'm most proud of this: the drawer was ridiculous I found matches,  a flask, and a paint brush in this drawer.. now look at it! I would have rather had a different color organizer but for $7 at TJ MAX hello green!

I added clear containers for cereal, candy, tea, and oatmeal. I could still use a couple more but it's look better!

Stella was the star of this one.. Putting the cat food in the big glass container saves space and keeps things clean and organized. I keep the flour and sugar in glass containers as well but this is the overflow. It also helps that we really needed to go to the grocery store :)

I still have plenty of more ideas for organizing the kitchen. I feel like it may be a never ending project... but that's it for this week!

My 26th birthday~Cirque de Soleil

For my 26th birthday, Jamie took me to Orlando to see Cirque de Soleil. I have always wanted to see it! We drove down on Saturday and stopped by the mall thinking that at 3pm we could eat something... wrong. Millennia was insane! Every place was an hour wait and we had Cirque to get to! We ended up eating somewhere quick and heading over to Disney!! I love Disney! I can't wait to go back and go to more of the parks. It seems to keep growing every year. Did you know Disney has their own fire department? Cirque was in Downtown Disney so we got to walk around and check out the House of Blues. Then it was time for the show.. It was AMAZING! I have never seen something so cool. Every act got better and better. I really can't say what my favorite was... the tight rope walkers, trapeze, and ariel contortion acts in silk (I had to look up the name to that one)! If I had to pick one the ariel contortion was wild- they were not on harnesses!!! And they were flying and spinning through the air. Woah! I wish I could have taken pictures but... We were on the second row which was really cool because we could see everything, all the little details. I would defiantly go back! Here are the pics we took:

Happy New Year!! 2012!!

We were lucky enough to get invited to an awesome black tie party on December 30th with some of our wonderful friends and my parents' friends. It was so fun seeing everyone dressed up! There was tons of champagne, great wine, and awesome food. We had a lot of fun. Here are some of the pics:

On New Year's we had our friends Kelly and Alex over for appetizers, steaks, and fondu! And of course more champagne!  We also played several rounds of catch phrase which was highly entertaining :) Here is our alcohol table:

I had trouble finding a "new years eve" table cloth..

New Year's Resolutions:
1. My resolutions are to organize our apartment.
I haven't come up with any others yet but here is my progress...

Spice cabinet. I should have taken a before and after because this is actually way better than before.
I did have all the spices stacked all over the place but with my mini lazy susan I can see almost all of them.
Of course we have too many spices but this is improvement! I also started organizing the pantry but I ran out of
time and $$$ on that project... so maybe next week!
