Sometime ago I posted about buying the Crane raindrop humidifier but I never posted my review so here we go.. I guess it works?! hahha From what I read I am suppose to have a snuffy nose and lots of nose bleeds. I have been using the humidifier almost every night and so far my nose has been good! Hooray! Occasionally I have been too tired to fill it up and those nights I don't sleep as well- that's not to say it wasn't something else. I will say that you are suppose to clean EVERY week. Ugh. I have cleaned it once but it's on the list of to do's. And apparently if you don't keep it clean it can make you sick. I will be buying the baby one for his room- all the books and my mom said you need one for the baby. And I'm pretty sure I did see a really cute whale one. SOLD.

Nursery Planning
Now that we know it's a BOY we can start planning! At first I was thinking I have 24 weeks that's a long time right? Not exactly. Our schedules are packed until July. And my mom and I plan on making some of the baby stuff- dust ruffle, curtains, changing pad/boppy cover (still deciding) and I'm sure a few other things. Sewing takes a lot of time itself- we have to find the patterns (yes we are actually going to use patterns this time or so we say), find the fabric (never an easy task), and then start sewing. And since I can't drink wine and sew with my mom this means I am going to be much more picky about how everything turns out. We also need to register, remove furniture from baby's room, put/buy the baby furniture and decorate with limited weekend availability. Not to mention Jamie has to get his shoulder checked out.. which could lead to a couple months of him not being able to lift or move anything. And my dad just had surgery so he's out too. That leaves me and my mama. Whew I'm exhausted already.
But since I am a PLANNER by nature. I'm always shocked when people tell me they are 36 + weeks prego and haven't done the nursery.. say what?! And why would you do that to yourself? Not to mention if the baby comes early or you are put on bed rest. These are the things I think about! haha which means little baby boy will come out a month late because I will be so ready... I have been inspired by this nursery:

Like I said before we are not painting but I do have some other great ideas instead :) This weekend we found sheets at Pottery Barn- Organic and On SALE with no shipping since we found them at the store. Sweet! This is the first step for the whole sewing process so we can pick fabric we like. Here are the sheets:
We also bought this really cute outfit when we were checking out Babys R Us today:
And our really sweet friends bought us the cutest clothes!!!
And this should make you laugh:

I attempted to draw a soccer ball but... the football was way easier! |
It's a ..... BOY!!!!
I was really wrong with this one! I feel asleep Tuesday thinking it was a girl, we had the name picked out and everything. But when we were waiting in the waiting room the sweetest little boy was sitting near us just staring. Right then I was like hmm maybe it is a boy! The ultrasound tech gave us some really cute and sweet shots of the baby- who was drinking the amniotic fluid- as a speech pathologist this was the COOLEST thing to see. I have seen a million Modified Barium Swallow studies but never have I seen a baby in the womb drinking!! So then she goes down by the legs... and she says do you see anything? I thought I did but since I was still convinced it was a girl I kept saying no, no, no. Then she zoomed in and said there's the penis!!!! Jamie was screaming! I was just as excited! From the beginning I have always wanted a boy first so that one day our daughter can have a big brother. And since it's our first it didn't matter what it was as long as it is healthy! I am a little disappointed I don't get to buy any ribbons or bows but hopefully one day I will! And now we have to figure out a name!!!! I hate saying "baby" he needs a name! Jamie is not convinced that we need one right now... Anyways so here are a few very cute pictures!
And most important she said he looked very healthy and the umbilical cord looked good as well. AND they gave us a DVD of the whole thing :)

You can see his little ribs and hands!! We were amazed by how big he has gotten in a month! |

Happy 6 month anniversary!!!!
Saturday was our 6 month anniversary! We spent Friday night eating dinner at the beach- seafood yum! I was so excited to eat seafood and it was delicious. I am allowed to have 12oz once a week so I have saved up. It was beautiful outside! We sat outside for dinner and watched the a million and one children and babies that were out and about. Every table had at least 2 children under 2. Crazy!
Saturday we spent the whole day at the beach. It was perfect out, not too hot and just enough wind! Jamie taught me how to catch sand crabs-ekk! He was shocked that I had never done this before... um I grew up on a LAKE. hahah We found a dead blue crab which I had never seen before. And I found some awesome shells for my next creation... After the beach we (Jamie) had to get an Irish car bomb for St. Patty's day and an Irish beer. I ate. Then we headed home, checked out our sunburns and watched a movie. It was the perfect day! We can't wait to head back to the beach next weekend!

Home Improvement
I was waiting until we got a mirror for the wall near our kitchen table but I am having trouble finding one I like so here is our new kitchen table!!!
And I have been working on my goal of organizing every week before we get started on the baby's room. This week was organizing the laundry room.. it was awful before I couldn't even take a before picture. But here is the end result:
Here it is!! It fits 8 people with the leaf. LOVE! |
I made that beautiful flower arrangement :) Eventually a mirror will go where the Eiffel tower picture is. |

15 Weeks!!
![]() |
Is it a boy or girl what do you think?! |
![]() |
You can really see the bump now! |
How far along? 15 weeks
Total weight gain:
4 pounds (probably more now)
Maternity clothes?
Mix of both
Stretch marks? none
Sleep:
100x% better :) Of the 3am potty breaks have continued but from what I heard only 1x a night is nothing!
Best moment this week:
Having a couple days of no migraines!
Miss Anything?
Diet Coke, sweet tea, seafood, soft cheeses- they are everywhere!
Movement:
Not yet but it’s suppose to happen soon and I can’t wait!!
Food cravings:
Milk and I would like coffee but I tried decaf and that didn’t go over well.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Sprite, CHICKEN
Gender:
Prediction GIRL!
Labor Signs:
No
Symptoms:
I spoke too soon last week about the headaches. I got a major migraine Wednesday night that continued all day Thursday and came back on Saturday. Working full time with children and having a migraine is the worst thing ever. It’s not like I can stare at a computer all day I have to be entertaining 8 hours a day and deal with behavior issues. My coworker even said this week, “I can’t function working with a headache let alone a migraine with no drugs.” BUT I have been taking the vitamins and so far it seems to be helping! No heartburn or any of the other bad symptoms.
Acne is improving- AHH!! I finally feel like I don’t look like a teenager anymore.
And now I am no longer allowed to sleep on my back for the next 25 weeks... this is a really hard task. And they say you should sleep on your left side. Who can sleep on one side ALL night?! The doctor did say the baby will tell me when I need to switch positions.
Belly Button in or out?
In
Wedding rings on or off?
On and a little loose
Have you started to show yet?
I think so! My whole stomach has grown! If I wear anything tight you can def. tell I look bigger- pregnant..eh like I ate too many cheeseburgers..yes!
Happy or Moody most of the time:
HAPPY!!! :))) And emotional at times. Seriously why does the lifetime channel even exist? I cried through TWO movies this weekend and I mean I couldn’t quit crying. I cried when I told Jamie what it was about hahah! I watched My Sister’s Keeper :( and this other one that the kids get put in foster care :( and they have to leave their kittens behind. I might cry now just thinking about it!
Looking forward to:
Feeling movement!!! And finding out the gender!!
Random:
Nothing happened this week that I can remember.
Workout:
Last week I walked 1x but like I said we were out of town and migraines. But my prenatal yoga, pilates, and strength training DVD’s came in! YAY
Reading Materials:
FINISHED Baby Bargains (LOVE) and The Birth Book (left me a little confused about my birth plan but I have plenty of time to change my mind). Still reading Belly Laughs. And just started The Nurturing Touch at Birth: A Labor Support Handbook. This book is a girl power book.
How are the furry babies doing??
Stella’s throne is the body pillow. Oscar has been sleeping in the car seat and the stroller. I literally couldn’t find him one day and he was sleeping in the car seat...

Nole Baby!!!!!
Thursday night we drove to Tallahassee for a conference I had all day on Friday. After the conference we bought our first baby purchase...FSU clothes!!! We drove all the way to the big bookstore (near my old apartment) and found the cutest stuff! I have never been so excited! I can't wait to put the baby in FSU gear. If it's a girl I will get her a headband with a big FSU bow :) Here are the first of many FSU items.
Just for the record our children are only allowed to go to FSU if they go to a school in the state of Florida :)

Baby Bargains Book
Some how (or maybe one of you know) I miraculously got the Baby Bargains book in the mail from Amazon with no receipt or anything. I immediately checked my amazon account thinking I had really lost my mind but nope I didn't order it! Nor has it every been in my shopping cart! Anyways this book is AMAZING! I have spent countless hours looking at so many baby websites but it seemed like the search was limited. But now I have everything I need! It gives you:
1. Safety information- hello I know nothing!
2. Chemical information/organic resources- very important
3. All the websites and their ratings
4. Basic information on how much you need and what you don't need.
Now this is a really big project because I'm looking at everything where before I had pretty much thought I would order from Pottery Barn (they actually have so good deals). And the website I found all the furniture I liked was ranked C... my baby can't have C furniture. Actually Pottery Barn was ranked C also (gasp!).
And SURPRISE Jacksonville has nothing! And neither does Orlando or anywhere near where we live unless we want to go to Tampa or Miami. Which my wedding planner (who actually was telling me all about this book last night) said she went all the way to Tampa for her baby mattress! BUT Buy Buy Baby is coming to Jacksonville this spring!!! Rated A in my book. And the furniture I found is also in Savannah (we are going there in a couple weeks anyways) and Ocala (which is close).

Exploring the new baby goodies!
On Friday one of our friends was nice enough to give us some of their old baby stuff! When we brought up the car seat this is what happened...
hahah I can't wait to see what they do with everything else!
