What I have learned so far..

Two weeks of being a mommy and I have learned so much already. So far I've learned:

  • How to use one arm to do everything- make the bed, make coffee, type emails, you name it I can do it while holding the baby and his pacifier. Occasionally I can do things with no hands!
  • Drink lukewarm coffee- my grandma warned me about this. She said she learned how to drink cold coffee when her kids were little. I laughed and said no way I always drink my coffee after he eats... the next two days I spent drinking lukewarm coffee. Grandmas are always right!
  • You are always last to eat, sleep, pee- if you even get time to do that
  • The second you make something to eat the baby needs to eat or be changed
  • Getting a shower in during the day means you have to stay up after the 5am feeding and wait for your husband to peak that eye open and hop in! If not you may not get one. And trust me you NEED to shower to feel somewhat human. Now spending the day in sweats and wet hair is understandable.
  • Baby brain is true. I can't remember anything! I seriously keep a list of things on my phone or I forget. I can be on a mission to do something, take two steps and bam what was I doing?!
  • I can sleep through anything- nursing, sitting, talking, watching movies my eyes just start to close. At least once a day I fall asleep with Jackson on my chest.
  • You will do laundry everyday. Jackson loves to pee on everything!
  • You will not miss your former life especially when your sweet little baby is cuddled up on your chest or when he looks right at you with the cutest face. OK well you might miss the sleep :)
Look how cute I am!!
