And then there were 4...

Introducing baby #2!!!

Here is our little nugget at 13 weeks! We couldn't be more excited to be expanding our family!

This one had a tough beginning but here is our road to #2.

It has already been a roller coaster ride! We found out on January 1st we were pregnant. After a long night of too much champagne, I was especially sick. Thinking hmmm this might not be just a hangover I took a test and it was positive! I was super excited! After five months of trying and a lot of complaining over New Years it finally happened. Jamie was a little more reserve this time because it was early. And we had no idea if we hit ovulation day. This was probably our worst month of timing/trying. Two days later I started spotting. I ended up calling the Dr. just in case and she sent us straight to the ER.

When we got to the ER they said the first test I took was negative and it was probably just by period arriving. I couldn’t believe it. I took three different tests and they were all positive! Then my blood test came back saying yes I was pregnant but my levels were low. So they sent me for an ultrasound... a very awful ultrasound. I had to go by myself and it took an hour where they don’t show you anything. The room was freezing. The ultrasound showed some bleeding but nothing really good or bad. The next week I had to have my betas drawn. The first day they came back but didn’t quite double. The doctor wasn’t too positive then... The third beta had tripled! Now everyone was happy BUT of course now we have to do another ultrasound to make sure everything is progressing.

We went in a week later (6 weeks) for an ultrasound and all they found was a gestational sack.. no baby. I was a wreck! Jamie thought it was a great ultrasound ha.ha. he had no idea we should be seeing a fetal pole or something. So back in we went a week later and ta da a little baby with a heartbeat!! We were so relieved.  After that we had to wait 6 weeks until we saw or heard the baby…. a roller coaster ride for sure but we have a healthy baby at 13 weeks and fingers crossed it continues!
